Profoundly respect given to the inner strength of the music - Altensteiger Christophorus Kantorei sets standards with the performance of the Brahms requiem in Nagold... The man and his emotions in view of the death - hardly an area requires as much sensibility as this. And exactly this prerequisite for the performance of this work put the Altensteiger Christophorus Kantorei under the management of Michael Nonnenmann in the Nagolder town church to the day. With much sensitivity an nearly sleepwalkingly technical certainty the choir, the orchestra and soloists ventured into the heart of the text music relation without hurting these in by exaggerated emotionality. It almost was so as if the musicians pretended to be only and alone in the service of this deeply philanthropic music and wanted to step down behind this themselves. A Christmas concert of the special manner - It was a pure joy to listen to the choir. A cappella, without company her pure song took effect wonderfully particularly in parts with high notes and tones. So different songs, so various was the mode of expression of the choir. So, many well-known German Christmas carols could be experienced completely newly again. Added were carols from from Ireland, Spain and Poland. After the common sung "O du fröhliche" and long lasting applause the choir sang into the bargain "He came from of The glorious kingdom" and one - for our ears resounding rather strange - Christmas carol from Haiti.
The young singers shone and had their joy skipped also on to the audience. Actual a Christmas concert of the special manner.

Sung festively by the Advent - The Christophorus Kantorei filled the music-lovers of Rohrschaf with enthusiasm. A so beautiful and festive run through the season of Advent can hardly be experienced elsewhere in a concert of the Christophorus church Kantorei of Altensteig. Choirmaster Michael Nonnenmann had designed the songs versatile together with the choir and the organist.
The singers had to appear, again and again in new formations changing their locations from the middle part of in the church the sides or the organ galleries. So each of the songs became a musical gem taken gratefully.
It was as quiet as a mouse in the church and all music-lovers could hold back to the end of the concert themselves to express enthusiasm loudly about the heard.
The singers, the conductor and the organist then got the well-deserved standig ovations.

The singers of the Christophorus Kantorei offered a quite special concert pleasure for Altensteig together with the "Collegium instrumentale... The main task in this oratorio falls to the choir which has to cope with 22 choir sentences alone... The choir coped with its enormous quota dedicatedly and professionally and was prepared well although the work demanded the outermost from it... The directing of Micheal Nonnenmann showed a very good coordination with the choir and the orchestra. The choir sung without exception exactly . By intellectual energy and determined staying power.There was the Christophorus Kantorei of Altensteig in the town church with over 40 singers on the Saturday evening. And what is there special? It is a high school choir from a town with 5000 inhabitants. The choir had bell-like voices and an atonshingly intonation safety. This voice culture is the contribution of the voice educator Eberhard Schuler Meybier who gives individual lessons to the pupils and bring also bluebottles to the singing. The concert led the few audience into a world of music in which the description of human feelings, actual happenings and impressions from nature, which touched man immediately, get in a relation to each other. Friday evening both pleased very well: the young singers of the Christophorus Kantorei, with their clear diction, the excellent intonation and the organic way in which they obey the dirgate of Michael Nonnenmann.
Just at the Beginning, they fulfilled the "Rorate Coeli" with their powerful sound volume, worked out clear forms of the verses and an intensive colorfulness of the sounds. Fascinating sound... The program acted classically and came along completely unconventionally. Many of the reported Christmas carols are part of the general education, but the choir from 49 teenagers at the age from twelve to 20 years carried them out in a way that one could have thought as well, one heard them for the first time. "So young", was the first thought, wehn the singers came in into the church. They seemed to be a little bit nervous, no professional hardness was shown; it was shown a programm with an absolutely professional discipline. And that with the special charm of young voices, which sometimes were still missing the maturity. But this was made up with freshness and the special glaze which also honors boy's choirs.
